An exceptionally well-built Fowler road locomotive in 2 inch scale to the Plastow design. Work to date comprises:
New silver-soldered copper boiler by Morewood with certification
Hornplates machined and fitted to boiler
Back axle complete with winch drum and differential
Wheels complete with hub caps and bonded on rubber tyres, rear tyres over strakes
Smokebox, chimney and dynamo platform, smokebox door with fittings and maker's plate
Perch bracket and front axle with leaf springing
Crankboxes machined, fitted with bearings and caps
All work to date is to an excellent standard, the rivet work on the wheels and hornplates is immaculately executed.
Complete with a box of unmachined castings, including the cylinder block, flywheel, gear blanks, crankshaft, eccentric straps, steering and brake wheels, glands, motion brackets, a large quantity of smaller parts and a set of drawings.
This makes up into a large model for 2 inch scale, around four feet long and very definitely a two man lift.
